An art critic and an interior designer Lidiya Pfayfer founded Blood & Honey brand in autumn 2014. Her fur scarf mini collection was sold out within a few days. Blood & Honey launch coincided luckily with a world trend: a colourful fur became a new must have.
A provocative Blood & Honey brand’s name shows an eccentric and elegant spirit that was created to surprise, to adorn and to epater. Spades became a brand’s symbol – in such a way trademark ideologists emphasize an intriguing, bold and ironic character of its clothing items. A sense of humor and self-irony are most likely to be the main words used to describe the brand’s mood. The Blood & Honey heroines choose an intellectual provocation and do not take fashion too seriously.
The rex rabbit, blue fox, mink, mouton, astrakhan and goat fur clothing items lay the basis of Blood & Honey collection. The major brand expressive method – is the colour. Lidiya Pfayfer experiments bravely with bright shades giving preference to unusual colour combinations: yellow and red, velvet and green, cherry and beige. “It is the colour that practically always dictates the style of clothing”, – says the designer. The fur passes a complicated process of hand dying – the technology equals to the one used by world fur-brands. Blood & Honey uses the appliqué work and perforating – only owing to this technique light fur clothing items “playing with colour tint shift” while walking are created. A painstaking work influences on the term manufacturing – the coat term manufacturing takes from 2 weeks to a month. The brand guarantees the highest fur quality: the brand’s team chooses and buys it at the world auctions.
